Sometimes, things haven't changed just because that is how it has "always been" and just because it has always been that way, doesn't mean it's right or efficient. There is so much opportunity here to improve a process and it is a missed opportunity to overlook it. With trust, you can build lean strategies and apply them effectively. Employees will notice how their leaders look at them, affecting their performance and commitment. It's vital for all employees to feel a sense of belonging to the company no matter what their job is. This is what puts companies above their competition.
-CharlieAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12696781378006056330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5167539222502940808.post-4425962492644416512021-05-19T09:04:55.148-04:002021-05-19T09:04:55.148-04:0010/10 for persistence. "Difficult" is not per se equivalent to "creating huge value". Communication is always key and it can really keep things clear and effective. As a student, I have been a part of many teams and visual project management is something that could definitely help us. I feel like my group has practiced it a lot even by just outlining and putting visuals together in one collaborative document. Visualizing project management definitely has helped us to see our strengths and weaknesses of the project. It has definitely helped us to save time, simplify the process, reduce waste, be effective communicators, and collaborate with one another while improving. Companies need to have many leaders who can take charge and have many people willing to follow them. I found it very interesting when you talked about how Leadership should be part of a culture, not just a one day seminar. Do you think that only certain people can become leaders, or is it something that people can work on?

Thanks once again for the great read!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07938932823778681723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5167539222502940808.post-51218185251191528112021-02-27T14:47:00.166-05:002021-02-27T14:47:00.166-05:00I like 2, 3 & 10 because they have a positive ...I like 2, 3 & 10 because they have a positive impact even if you do not know what kind or how that impact will ripple out. When I worked as a manager, I found it challenging to have a certain level of respect from my employees. They saw me as a friend rather than their manager. I didn't want to have to demand respect from my employees but rather earn it. Forgiving yourself and others for mistakes definetly resonated with me more than the others because of how hard I would be on myself rather than setting an excellent example of boucning back and correcting what went wrong. Thanks for a good read!

Best,
Shelby Paquin Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05300882017063976559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5167539222502940808.post-22091927541303082102021-02-09T17:54:48.072-05:002021-02-09T17:54:48.072-05:00These are great lessons; I particularly agree with...These are great lessons; I particularly agree with effective communication. I believe this skill is key to developing good business practices. Nowadays people don’t take the time to listen carefully or express an idea fully. Also, our attention span has decreased, and we tend to rely on quick forms of communication. I encourage people to take the time and give full attention to the person or group that is in front of them and engage with them throughout the conversation, to ask for feedback. Sometimes they will provide valuable insights. After all, these are the people performing the job we assigned them to attain the goals we have set for them.
Another lesson for leaders that I consider important is setting clear goals and setting the strategies to achieve them. Many “leaders” think it is appropriate to express their expectations without a specific plan of “how to”. Instead they opt to motivate people by buzzwords and “you can do it” speeches. From an employee’s perspective it is tiresome trying to define the purpose of one’s job in relation with the company’s goals. It kills motivation, efficiency and lowers employee’s dedication.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01390986732915811926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5167539222502940808.post-35519281414138629792021-02-09T17:54:07.802-05:002021-02-09T17:54:07.802-05:00These are great lessons; I particularly agree with...These are great lessons; I particularly agree with effective communication.
